Efficient Irrigation Strategies: Evapotranspiration Workshop in Las Cruces Aug. 5-6

Growers, irrigation managers and water professionals will have an opportunity next month to learn how data can improve irrigation decisions during a two-day workshop in Las Cruces focused on water-use efficiency and sustainable agricultural practices.

The hands-on course, scheduled for Aug. 5-6, will introduce participants to climate data, crop coefficients and spreadsheet-based tools used to estimate crop water requirements and support irrigation scheduling. Organizers say the training is designed to help agricultural producers make more informed irrigation decisions while improving water-use efficiency and long-term water management. 

Registration is open through Aug. 3. The workshop is intended for growers, irrigation professionals and others involved in agricultural water management. Additional information and registration are available through the event registration page.
