The Technology & Innovation Office (TIO) is helping to build the industries of the future in New Mexico. And quantum is leading the way.

New Mexico is home to national labs, top universities, and one of the highest concentrations of PhDs per capita in the country. That expertise is now backed by real investment: $127 million through Elevate Quantum, up to $120 million through our DARPA Quantum Frontier partnership, and $25 million to launch the New Mexico Quantum Venture Studio, plus a first-of-its-kind training pipeline through CNM and Sandia.

A few years ago, there were zero quantum companies based in New Mexico. Today, at least five major companies have set up shop here, with more on the way — plus dozens of educators and students moving through our growing workforce pipeline.
