Memorial Bench for Officer Jonah Hernandez and LCPD Heroes

One half of the bench is dedicated to the memory of fallen LCPD officer Jonah Hernandez who died in the line of duty on Feb. 11, 2024. The other half honors active-duty law enforcement officers with an inscription and engraved badge.

The Las Cruces Police Departments wishes to extend a huge thank you to our friends at Casa Mexicana Tile who donated a memorial bench that now rests in the courtyard of the main station on east Picacho Avenue.

The tiered bench, with incorporated flower vases, is made from natural stones granite and white quartzite.
