Community Crews Clean Up Mesilla Following Diez y Seis Fiesta

Teams spread across several parts of Mesilla, collecting trash around Town Hall and along Avenida de Mesilla while also working to beautify the Mesilla Plaza.

Staff and volunteers from Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site joined the Town of Mesilla and Zia Middle School for a community cleanup following the town’s Diez y Seis de Septiembre Fiesta.

Teams spread across several parts of Mesilla, collecting trash around Town Hall and along Avenida de Mesilla while also working to beautify the Mesilla Plaza.

The cleanup followed the previous weekend’s Diez y Seis celebration, bringing together historic site staff, students, volunteers and town personnel to help clean up after one of Mesilla’s community events.
