SUNLAND PARK – Sunland Park firefighters responded to an active natural gas leak after a contractor cut through a gas line Saturday afternoon. The Sunland Park Fire Department said the leak occurred in the 100 block of Water Tank Road, off North Country Club Road.
According to the department, a contractor working in the area sawed through the natural gas line.
New Mexico Gas Company crews responded and clamped off the lines. No injuries were reported.
Fire crews cleared the scene at 1:54 p.m.
