Four Seriously Injured in Fuel Truck Crash on I-25 Near Hatch

All lanes of I-25 were closed in the area as firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and crews cleared the scene.

HATCH – Four people were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries following a crash involving a large fuel truck on Interstate 25 near Hatch Sunday evening. Doña Ana Fire Rescue said the fuel truck caught fire following the crash.

All lanes of I-25 were closed in the area as firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and crews cleared the scene.

The closure was expected to last approximately three to four hours at the time of initial reporting, around 9 p.m. Sunday. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use an alternate route if possible.

Arrey Derry Fire Department and Spaceport America fire crews assisted Doña Ana Fire Rescue at the scene.
