A curious cat’s exploration of its owner’s vehicle prompted an unusual rescue Wednesday evening when the animal became trapped in the rear undercarriage of the car.
According to Fire Rescue officials, the cat’s owner initially attempted to retrieve the animal but was unable to safely remove it.
The owner contacted Animal Control, which subsequently requested assistance from Fire Rescue.
Working together, the two agencies located the cat and successfully removed it from beneath the vehicle.
The cat, identified simply as “Kitty” in the department’s account, was reunited with its owner and reportedly suffered no injuries.
