The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department’s Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB) program is inviting residents to participate in Team Up to Clean Up on Saturday, October 24, with volunteer cleanup opportunities and free disposal of household trash and yard waste at six locations throughout the city.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon, with open-top waste containers available until noon or until they reach capacity.
Volunteers to Gather at Young Park
According to information provided by the Parks and Recreation Department, Young Park will serve as the gathering location for volunteers participating in the community cleanup.
High school and college students, clubs, athletic teams, community organizations and individual residents are encouraged to participate. Students and other volunteers may earn community service hours through the program. Groups can register on the Keep Las Cruces Beautiful webpage.
Volunteers will collect litter and help improve neighborhood appearance. The city will provide trash bags, gloves, litter grabbers and safety vests.
The program encourages participation by both individuals and organized groups, offering an opportunity for residents to contribute to neighborhood beautification while completing volunteer service requirements.
