The City of Anthony welcomed Officer Francisco Gomez and Detective Mannie Sanchez III to the Anthony Police Department. Both were sworn into office at City Hall, with Municipal Judge Sarah G. Holguin administering the oaths.
Gomez previously served as a patrol officer with the New Mexico State Police, where his duties included responding to emergency calls, enforcing traffic laws, and conducting investigations.
Sanchez returns to the Anthony Police Department as a detective, having previously served with the department. He also served with the Las Cruces Police Department and worked as a detective with the Mesilla Marshal’s Office and Village of Hatch Police Department. His experience includes investigating felony cases, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and coordinating with other law enforcement agencies.
