Sign Up Now: Registration is Open for City of Las Cruces Winter Break Camp

The all-day camp will include physical play, games, quiet reading time, lunch, a field trip, recreational and creative activities, guest speakers, and age-appropriate enrichment opportunities.

The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department will open registration for its low-cost Winter Break Camp, scheduled for Dec. 22, 2025, through Jan. 2, 2026. The camp is open to children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The fee is $20.

The all-day camp will include physical play, games, quiet reading time, lunch, a field trip, recreational and creative activities, guest speakers, and age-appropriate enrichment opportunities.



Camp hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Dec. 22 through Jan. 2, at Jornada Elementary School, 3400 Elks Drive, and East Mesa Recreation Center, 5589 Porter Drive. There will be no camp Dec. 25, Dec. 26, and Jan. 1. Registration for the seven-day camp opens Dec. 5 and will remain available until full.

Registration can be completed online at LasCruces.gov/Play or during regular business hours at the following locations:

  • Parks and Recreation Department Administrative Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave.; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday
  • Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave.; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday
  • Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave.; 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday
  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave.; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
