Since 2021, Doña Ana County has supported the Summer Internship Program in partnership with the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED), local schools, and area businesses. The program has grown significantly over the years, connecting more than 10,000 students with real-world work experiences throughout the community.

This year, students and businesses will register directly through the program’s centralized system, designed to simplify the application and placement process and better serve participants across the state.

Even with this change, the program remains focused on Doña Ana County, connecting local students with local employers.

Doña Ana County will continue working closely with NMPED, the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce, local schools, and business partners to keep the program strong and accessible to the community.

For questions about the application process, interested participants are encouraged to email nminterns@eaw.org
