Doña Ana County Seeks Applicants For Airport Advisory Board

Doña Ana County is seeking applicants to serve on the Airport Advisory Board for the Doña Ana County International Jetport in Santa Teresa. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, May 29.  The County is seeking applicants to fill two full three-year terms running from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, as well as one unexpired two-year term.

Applicants must reside in Doña Ana County or El Paso County. The application includes questions regarding the applicant’s interest in serving, qualifications, and knowledge of aviation and airport-related issues. Licensed pilots are encouraged to apply.

The seven-member Airport Advisory Board works closely with the Jetport Manager to identify and discuss matters related to safety, growth, development, and administration of the jetport.  

The Board meets monthly and periodically reports to the Board of County Commissioners. All meetings comply with the New Mexico Open Meetings Act and are open to the public. Agendas for regular and special meetings are posted on the Doña Ana County website at least 72 hours prior to meetings.
