In his most recent full season of competition during the 2023-24 campaign at San José State, Diongue appeared in 26 games while making 23 starts for the Spartans. The 7-footer averaged 4.8 points per game while emerging as one of the Mountain West’s top rim protectors.

Diongue made an immediate impact defensively throughout non-conference play, recording at least one block in all but one game before conference action began. He posted a season-high 11 rebounds against Bethesda and recorded a near double-double with nine points and nine rebounds against Hampton. He also matched his season high with 10 points on two occasions, doing so against Boise State and Santa Clara while shooting an efficient 4-of-5 from the field against the Broncos.

Known for his length and athleticism around the rim, Diongue produced multiple standout defensive performances during Mountain West play. He registered four blocks in back-to-back games against Wyoming and Boise State before adding another four-block outing against New Mexico later in the season. He also collected three blocks and nine rebounds at Fresno State.

Prior to his time at San José State, Diongue competed at Washington State during the 2022-23 season where he appeared in 23 games for the Cougars. He totaled 12 blocks on the year and posted a season-high seven points against Prairie View while grabbing a career-high eight rebounds at Hawai’i.

Before beginning his collegiate career, Diongue established himself as one of the top prep prospects in the country while playing at AZ Compass Prep. A four-star recruit and ESPN Top-100 prospect, he helped lead AZ Compass Prep to a 24-5 record and a second consecutive appearance at the GEICO Nationals. During his senior season, Diongue averaged just over 11 points, six rebounds and nearly 1.5 blocks per game.
