Several Volunteers were recognized for their service during a Volunteer Recognition Ceremony June 10 at the White Sands Missile Range Frontier Club.
“Today we recognize the efforts and contributions of our volunteers for their service during Jan. 1, 2025, thru Dec. 31, 2025,” said Maria Pangborn, Volunteer Program Manager with Army Community Service. “Thank you for your impact to our community.”

WSMR Garrison Commander Col. Don Mozer welcomed guests and thanked volunteers for their dedication and service during the ceremony.
“Thank you to all the volunteers who help make White Sands Missile Range such a special community,” Mozer said. “For more than six decades volunteers have been strengthening Army communities by giving their time, talents and energy in support of soldiers, families, retirees and our mission.”
“In the last year we had 50 registered volunteers, nearly doubling the 27 volunteers we had the previous year,” Mozer said. “That growth speaks volumes about the generosity and commitment of the people in our community and the hard work of our ACS team.”

Volunteers contributed nearly 3,800 hours of service last year. Those contributions represent more than $137,000 invested back into the community.
